Great show as always. A few points:

NWSL – I would love to know what Plush’s long-term plan is for the league. In my eyes I would ultimately like to see NWSL rebrand as W-MLS and have it also subsumed under SUMs umbrella for marketing purposes. I do think the league would benefit from expansion too as it would allow for the league to split into conferences, which could help reduce expenses associated with travel.

College – Since it was discussed in some measure, I was wondering if it would ever make sense for college soccer to be withdrawn as an NCAA sport and managed directly by USSF. This could allow for college soccer to be directly tied into any sort of developmental pyramid, perhaps even allow for players to sign club contracts and be paid while still attending college i.e. go from a U-18 academy team to a college team, and then back to a USL second team and finally MLS first team.

Champions’ League – One of the biggest strengths of the NFL is that while there are very passionate fans of their respective teams, they’ve managed to make people fans of the league, so much so that people will watch a Browns/Bengals game on Sunday night even if it isn’t anyone’s team and both teams are not good. People watch simply because it is the NFL. This is why Friday Night Futbol and Soccer Sunday are so important to MLS right now. Because it will hopefully get people to care not just about their teams but about the league, so if a Union/Rapids match is on people still care to watch. Champions’ League plays an equal part in this effort. So while I would love for the Red Bulls to be in the final, I am okay with Montreal being there and I will support them.
