Photographs of Newcastle United’s home, away and third shirt have been leaked on the Internet.

Designed and manufactured by Puma, Newcastle’s shirts for the 2015-16 season are a mix of the good, the bad and the ugly.

The Good

Newcastle’s home shirt for the 2015-16 season features a blue v-neck collar and familiar black and white stripes along with blue trim on the cuffs.

The design is much more improved than the current 2014-15 Newcastle United home shirt with the awkward black triangle that takes up most of the upper chest.

This new one is closer to the classic Newcastle United designs that we know and love.

The Bad

The Puma designers must have had a contest in their office to see who could design the worst shirt. And the designer for Newcastle United’s account won.

Either that, or the designer has been watching too much of 50 Shades of Gray.

Newcastle United’s away shirt for 2015-16 features different shades of gray on a checker board design that’s flanked with a light blue trim on the shoulders, v-neck collar and on the bottom of the sleeves.

The Ugly

Newcastle United have again decided to make a “members” shirt available in a limited edition to club members only.

It’s not that the design is bad, which it isn’t, but the whole concept of a members-only shirt rubs me the wrong way.

In order to buy it, Newcastle United club members have to show their membership card to prove their allegiance to the Toon Army. Pfft! Sounds like another cash cow to me.
