Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher revealed the two All-Star teams which will feature during the upcoming Steven Gerrard testimonial match to be held on March 29.

Tickets for the event went on sale today and immediately sold out.

The proceeds raised from the game will help fund the Liverpool FC Foundation’s community programs, which benefit thousands of young people and adults in Liverpool, as well as Alder Hey’s new hospital, Claire House, Positive Futures, Centre 56 and Cash for Kids.

The exciting news for those attending the event is former Liverpool strikers Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres will start alongside Thierry Henry at the front of Steven Gerrard’s team, with John Terry patroling his defense and Xabi Alonso partnering Gerrard in the midfield.

While Gerrard has obviously chosen an attacking side, Carragher has elected for a more physical team with Chelsea striker Didier Drogba, Craig Bellamy and Dirk Kuyt set to start at his forward positions.

Team Gerrard:

Brad Jones; Stephen Warnock, John Terry, John Arne Riise, Xabi Alonso, Steven Gerrard, Kevin Nolan, Ryan Babel, Thierry Henry, Luis Suarez and Fernando Torres.

Team Carragher:

Pepe Reina; Martin Kelly, Alvaro Arbeloa, Jamie Carragher, Luis Garcia, Raul Meireles, Jonjo Shelvey, Jamie Noone, Craigg Bellamy, Didier Drogba and Dirk Kuyt.
