Barcelona will attempt to seal their Copa del Rey final spot against Villarreal on Wednesday. The Catalans, who have won the competition a record 26 times, have a 3-1 advantage from the first leg and will attempt to consolidate on their lead at the El Madrigal.

Barca manager Luis Enrique claims his side are in the perfect moment ahead of this tie and insists he will name a strong XI for the game.

Enrique said: “This is the perfect moment in terms of results and form. And let’s hope we can turn that form into titles.

“The aim is to win the match. That way there can be no surprises. It would be huge to score a goal. We won’t be holding out for a draw. We’ll take the game seriously and play our usual attacking football.”

They have to overcome a Villarreal side that are in good form with three wins from the last four matches and drew the other one against Real Madrid last weekend.

The Yellow Submarines have a good record in this season’s competition and are yet to concede at home. However, they really need to get firing if they are to stand a chance of winning having passed through earlier rounds with lone goal victories against Real Sociedad and Getafe.

Team News

Villarreal manager Marcelino opted to rest seven first-team players against Real Madrid so his side should be in good shape heading into this crucial second leg.

That said, a couple of players are on the treatment table and will be missing out. Captain Bruno Soriano, Bojan Jokic, Antonio Rukavina and Adrian Marin are all out but in-form striker Luciano Vietto will lead the line. Both Dos Santos brothers are also available to start against their former side.

Barcelona, on the other hand, have no injuries whatsoever except long-term absentee Thomas Vermaelen who continues his rehabilitation from a thigh injury.

Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Neymar should all feature from the start as Enrique targets his first final as Barca manager while Marc-Andre Ter Stegen should continue in goal ahead of Claudio Bravo. Gerard Pique is also available to play after his league suspension.
