The rumors of Cristiano Ronaldo’s possible return to Manchester United refuse to die down in England and Spain.

It has been well publicized that the Portuguese forward openly questioned the decision of Real Madrid president Florentino Perez to sell his teammates – specifically, Angel Di Maria and Xabi Alonso – before the start of the season. Di Maria himself questioned how much longer Ronaldo would “stick it out in Madrid.”

Ronaldo and Perez did their best to squash any speculation of a disagreement between the player and president. But in the following weeks, more and more stories from Spain have hinted that the two-time Ballon d’Or winner’s days are winding down at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Of course, Ronaldo’s “happiness” has been an issue before with the La Liga giants. But it appears that the Portugal international has grown tired of seeing his Madrid teammates leave the Spanish club year-in and year-out.

Real’s poor start to the La Liga campaign has only heightened the speculation surrounding Ronaldo and a possible return to Manchester United; with the player giving two separate interviews over the summer professing his desire to return to Old Trafford – one day.

This weekend, Sky Sports Spanish football expert Guillem Balague and his fellow Revista de La Liga colleagues discussed the reports circulating around the Spanish capital regarding the immediate future of the Real Madrid forward.
