Watch Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher Discuss Wing Backs on Monday Night Football [VIDEO]

Sky Sports pundits Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher got into a fascinating debate on the first Monday Night Football episode of the season as they discussed the new fad of wing backs in the modern game, and whether they’re much different than the modern day full back.

The 3-5-2 formation proved to be the catalyst for the debate between the former Manchester United and Liverpool defenders.

Neville, as always, does a great job at explaining the intricacies of soccer from a player’s perspective that viewers can understand.

Damn, I knew this was going to happen eventually. I actually agree with Carragher.

Baines and Coleman don’t play any differently than wingbacks.

Oh for Gods sake, enough with the man love for these two! Yes they are good analysts but it’s hardly quantum mechanics discussed by two Nobel prize winners. They are no better or worse than Earle & Mustoe.

Come on now Smokey. This wasnt their best and Earle and Mustoe are quality but, come on now. Id like to see Earle and Mustoe break down the Liverpool-Chelsea game last May like these two.
