Wow – two crosses & two headers = two goals & Ivory Coast comes from nowhere to shock Japan (whose goalkeeper did a shocking job in regards to the 2nd goal)

There’s been a lot of sub-par goalkeeping in the tournament so far

Excellent defending so far by Japan. A lot of critical tackles and blocks to prevent CIV from scoring.

I’m finding the game kind of sloppy. Maybe it’s the rain.

That was a brilliant goal by Honda!

His first touch was even better to set himself up for the shot. Pure class!

Looks like ESPN are using the FIFA feed for this one.

      Not really, it is ESPN’s.

It’s a global TV feed but they’re using their own commentators (Derek Rae and Efan Ekoku in this example).

Derek Rae is good, wish he would have gotten some more higher profile games.

I like that Ivory Coast team. Leaving out the older players, like Drogba, is a real statement of intent. They have the talent but always fail to impress. If Gervinho can replicate his club form with Roma and Yaya is influential in midfield then I can see this team go far.

Japan are always entertaining but they haven’t been very impressive leading up to the World Cup. All eyes on them to see what they can do.
