Liverpool have made a bid worth £16 million to Sevilla for Alberto Moreno, according to published reports. The Reds have had a revolving door of left-backs over the course of the past few seasons with veterans Jose Enrique and Ally Cissokho (who has returned to Valencia after a loan stint on Merseyside) failing to make a lasting impression. Moreno has been linked with many of the top clubs in Europe in recent months including Real Madrid and Chelsea.

It is also reported that Liverpool have offered Suso as part of a potential deal. The 20 year-old Spaniard joined Liverpool’s Academy in 2010 and was a player the Anfield club had high hopes for. After playing a prominent role in the first-term at the beginning of the Brendan Rodgers era, Suso faded from consideration and was loaned to Almeria this past season.

The potential signing of Moreno would a sign of Liverpool’s ability to attract top names to the club now that the Reds will return to the UEFA Champions League for the first time in five seasons.
