Newcastle United Hit New Low With Gray Away Kit: Official [PHOTOS]

Newcastle United, the club that is quickly becoming a laughing stock in the Premier League, sunk a little deeper today after the club and Puma unveiled United’s away shirt for the 2014/15 season. United’s new away kit perfectly sums up the mood on Tyneside — Even though Puma says it’s silver, the United away kit is a depressingly gray jersey.

According to Puma, Newcastle’s 2014/15 PUMA away kit has been inspired by the away shirts worn by some of the city’s most famous sons, with Peter Beardsley, Chris Waddle and Paul Gascoigne all sporting a similarly eye-catching style in the mid 1980’s.

The new kit is all silver with black trim on the shirt, shorts and socks. ‘Newcastle United Football Club 1892’ wording is featured throughout the kit as a pinstripe detail, with additional club accents positioned on the upper back neck, waist-band of the shorts and socks.

The new away kit will be worn by the first team in the club’s final league game against Liverpool on Sunday May 11 and throughout the 2014/15 campaign.

Any Liverpool fan will agree that this is going to better than whatever whacky Away design Warrior makes for us next season.

As the others have said: The kit is rather decent, especially for a puma kit. There is actually some detail without it being too busy.

Their 97 “reggae/surfer kit was god awful – nothing could be lower.

Is the author a Sunderland fan? I don’t see a whole lot in this shirt to warrant an negative article, really…

    I sort of like it.
Wonder if the kits will be purchased directly from Puma, or distributed through Sports Direct? 🙂

Yea I gotta say that article is unfairly negative. I think it looks like a nice kit actually.
I get that this season has been disappointing for Newcastle fans, but this is reaching

This is a copy of a popular shirt worn during happier times, I would buy it but not until Ashley leaves the club. Very negative feature probably from a southern Man utd supporter!!
