England Home Shirt For 2014 World Cup From Nike: Leaked [PHOTO]

A photo of England’s home shirt for the 2014 FIFA World Cup has been leaked on the Internet.

OK Nike. We take back everything we’ve said about how Umbro’s shirt designs for England have been classier in the past. Nike has finally hit design perfection for the England national team with a shirt design that marries the best parts of what we loved about Umbro in the past — clean, simple yet elegant designs.

The England World Cup shirt for 2014 has a similar design to the home England shirt worn from 1954 to 1963. The white shirt and white V-neck collar ensure that the focus is on the England crest (the Three Lions) and the Nike swoosh.

The simplicity and purity of this shirt is beautiful. Rather than having a hot shot designer trying to mark his mark with a busy design, Nike have chosen the best route possible. Plus, the style is distinctive enough where it doesn’t look like the USMNT home shirt for the World Cup.

I don’t understand why the star has been white to blend in on the past couple of shirts, it’s almost as if we’re ashamed we’ve only won one world cup.

I also much prefer the current shirt.

When I see how easily pleased people are I understand how Nike keeps getting away with such cheap unimaginative kits. There’s a fine line between simple and just plain old boring.

This is nothing more than a godforsaken white undershirt with an FA badge on it! If you think this is “elegant” you might as well wear Haines undershirts to job interviews.

There had better be blue shorts with this or we may all die of boredom. Basically a white tee shirt with a badge. This retro design stuff is getting old. How about a design that recalls the admiral kits of the 70s and 80s?

Per FIFA’s new strict guidelines, England will wear white shorts so they’ll have an all-white kit. The socks will be white/blue, although England will have an alternative blue shorts to wear before and after the World Cup for matches where they don’t need to wear all-white.

What are these guidelines? Are they limited to how many colours? It’s not like anyone will be watching in black and white. Ridiculous!

Should their star be removed? Just wondering GO FOREST!

We haven’t seen the guidelines from FIFA, but Spain will be in all-red, USA in all-white, etc, etc

What is FIFA and the WC becoming, Wimbledon Tennis? Only single colors allowed (White).

Funny, they go from any combo of crazy multi colors to all one color kits (all red, all white, all?)

Nike is crap! Worst of all the Kit makers. Their designs and designers come up with things that try to resemble modernistic art or some tidye stuff. Never like Nike Kits. The only Nat Team who’s kit has stayed constant is Brazil and I’m sure Brazil make sure it stays that way.

Only problem is the star is white. You can barely see it.
