It’s a crying shame that Poland will not be playing at World Cup 2014 in Brazil because their newest away shirt, designed by Nike, is a bold, classic shirt that would win the hearts of so many neutral soccer fans.

In a photograph leaked on the Internet, Poland’s new away shirt for 2014 is a perfectly designed red and white shirt featuring a white stripe down the middle of the jersey. The away shirt has a perfect symmetry. The red v-neck collar, white and gold Polish football federation crest and Nike swoosh complement the shirt.

One of the most wonderful aspects of a national team jersey is that there are no sponsors. Imagine what the Poland away shirt would look like if it had a sponsor’s name across the shirt. It’d ruin the design.

Hats off to Poland and Nike for a sublime design.
