Fulham have officially announced the two-month loan signing of attacking midfielder Clint Dempsey from Seattle Sounders.

Dempsey will wear the number 32 shirt at the Craven Cottage club. The US international is excited about playing for Fulham again:

“It feels good to be back. This has always felt like my home in Europe.

“I just want to get back to playing at the highest level, and playing at my top form. Going into a World Cup year, you want to get into that top form.”

In the interview, Dempsey mentions he hopes to return to full fitness soon in order to pull on a Fulham shirt again.

Dempsey reportedly turned down an opportunity to play for West Ham United in order to come back to Fulham. The American played at Fulham from 2007 to 2012 before heading to Tottenham Hotspur for one season, and then returned to Seattle.
