You, the readers, have spoken. The book discussion selection for March is the very timely international bestseller entitled The Fix: Soccer And Organized Crime by author and investigative journalist Declan Hill.

In a recent article by Declan Hill in BBC Sport, the Canadian author says that “I do not mean that there is rampant fixing in British football. But I do mean that the British leagues have a very small window of opportunity to get themselves ready to fight off this new form of corruption.”

The timing of this month’s book selection is spot on since investigators recently revealed there were 680 matches worldwide were fixed including a Champions League match in England.

Here’s how EPL Talk’s monthly book discussion group works: Buy the book. And then while you’re reading it, join the conversation about anything you find worth mentioning in the comments section below. Then, in the beginning of April, we’ll select a new soccer book to read as a group.
