Either Sir Alex Ferguson is playing mind games leading up to the January transfer window or he’s trying to manage the expectations of the fans. Either way, the Manchester United boss has come out today and ruled out any new signings in the January transfer window, saying there is no real value.
Based on Manchester United’s six point lead at the top of the Premier League table and their place in the knockout rounds of the Champions League, I would tend to agree with him. But whether it’s in January or next summer, Manchester United desperately need to strengthen the defense.
