Fox Sports’ co-president Eric Shanks says that losing the Premier League TV rights in the United States to NBC (beginning with the 2013-14 season) is “a bummer.” The executive says that FOX Soccer will not undergo a rebranding (there have been many rumors that FOX Soccer would become FOX Sports 2 or 3.
That’s all good news for soccer fans… until August 2013 begins where FOX Soccer’s programming will instantly be missing its crown jewel (the Premier League). What else will there be to watch on the network in terms of live broadcasting that’s worth watching every weekend?
