FIFA 13: Attacking Intelligence Features Improved Attacking Runs [VIDEO]

EA Sports has enhanced the Attacking Intelligence feature in FIFA 13 to improve attacking runs, and to make attacking more realistic.

In the above video, FIFA 13 Line Producer Nick Channon explains why the new Attacking Intelligence in FIFA 13 is a great improvement on last year’s game. The video includes test bed footage, and shows how the game now features more dynamic runs.

All in all, FIFA 13 is looking like it’s going to be the best one yet. Pre-order FIFA 13 today so you’ll have it on your doorstep on the day it’s launched.

I love the video, but I feel that EA is so great at advertising/marketing. I remember when they explained the fight for the ball w/ your body feature in fifa 12, but when I actually played it, the likes of rooney, drogba, etc. lose the ball when touched by someone from behind. My point is, i hope these features EA talks about for fifa 13, turn out to be actually instilled in the game. I love the idea of these new attacking runs, but I hope they don’t happen because all of a sudden the defender just stops marking and just stands there…

Not just the attacking intelligence, but the defending as well. Using your body to knock the attacker off balance actually works in this game and in the immortal words of Andy Gray, defenders really DO tend to be stronger than attackers haha.

It really is a massive improvement. The games DID get stale and the only way a fellow teammate made a run was when you passed with the LB button to get that 1-2 motion going.. Now they do it all on their own and it’s refreshing to say the least.

Also the one touch aspect of the game now makes it that players you play against online won’t just bombard their men forward knowing that the ball will be glued to their feet. They have now be more precise and careful with their passing and their movement of play.

Again, the improvements on the FIFA games are insidious yet fruitful, and there will always be many that fail to see these crucial changes to the game. However, it is EA’s job, I think, to improve in such a way that they can make advancements that are worth two games in one.. because FIFA 12 is looking ridiculous now. Why couldn’t they just do one touch and smarter AI last year?

Ah yes.. it’s a business, that’s why haha.
