In just over two weeks, the much anticipated 2011-12 Premier League season kicks off. And with this upcoming season, there could be more teams who have a shot of winning the title than in a very long time. Whether it’s at the top, middle or bottom of the Premier League, the talking points are endless.

In preparation for the upcoming season, I wanted to see if you or anyone you know in the soccer community may be interested in becoming the host of the EPL Talk Podcast. As some of you may know, former EPL Talk Podcast host Richard Farley joined FOXSoccer.com near the end of last season, so an opening is available.

What we’re looking for is a unique individual who not only has strong knowledge of the Premier League (as well as the history of English football), but who also has some radio or broadcast experience in front of a mic, and who is comfortable with technology such as Skype and recording/producing audio. If the person also has experience with using WordPress, that’s definitely a bonus.

The EPL Talk Podcast records twice a week — on Sunday night, featuring a wrap-up of the weekend games and news, as well as Wednesday night, featuring a review of the early-to-mid-week games in addition to a review of the upcoming weekend’s matches. The podcast features co-hosts Kartik Krishnaiyer and Laurence McKenna as well as occasional guest appearances from bloggers and podcasters.

Since launching in 2006, the EPL Talk Podcast has grown to become one of the most popular Premier League podcasts. If you or someone you know is interested in discussing the opportunity in more detail and gaining valuable experience (as well as being in front of a large global audience each week), please e-mail me at thegaffer[at]epltalk[dot]com with the subject line “Podcast host”.
