Young Schalke defender Joel Matip has been hospitalized with Malaria following time out on international duty with Cameroon. As if things couldn’t get any worse for Schalke.

    Best of luck Matip, he is a nice kid.

    It should take at least 3-6 weeks to fully recover from Malaria. By then Schalke could be deep into the relagation zone.

    Is he with Schalke or in Africa? They better bring him home.
