The Bosnian Hitman Has Been On Top Form This Season.

Steve McClaren’s Wolfsburg wide, who have been in good form despite their poor start to the season, will host Freiburg tomorrow night and will be looking for another three points. Meanwhile, recently promoted Kaiserslautern host Hannover, in what could be a crucial match in terms of Bundesliga survival this season.

VfL Wolfsburg – SC Freiburg

Steve McClaren’s side have managed two wins in a row which is a huge improvement compared to their early season slump, which included four consecutive defeats. Wolfsburg are on the up now, though, and should record another comfortable victory here against Freiburg. Wolfsburg will look to press their opponents and play the ball into space, and the technical skill and class of players like Edin Dzeko and Diego put Wolfsburg on another level from their opponents. Freiburg will look to be very compact and play very narrowly and catch their opponents on the counter, but it’s unlikely that Freiburg will be able to hold Wolfsburg out. I see it 3-1.

FC Kaiserslautern – Hannover 96

Kaiserslautern have been surprisingly decent so far this season, and have even racked up two unlikely wins. One of those was away to Koln, 3-1, and the other at home to Bayern Munich, 2-0. Kaiserslautern are unbeaten at home still this season, and I expect that to continue here against Hannover. Despite that prediction, Hannover have been very handy early on and have picked up ten points from their first five matches, which include an away win at Schalke and a 4-1 tonking of Werder Bremen at home last weekend. I don’t think they’ll be as impressive here, and I can see both sides fighting this one out very competitively. 2-2.
