Wesley's Versatility Will Give Werder Bremen An Extra Option All Over The Pitch.

Brazilian midfielder Wesley has today completed his transfer to the Bundesliga with Werder Bremen. Wesley, aged 21, is another of a long line of Santos wonderkids to come through the side and make their way to Europe.

Wesley’s versatility is what will make him such a special capture for Werder Bremen. The young Brazilian is comfortable playing at right and left wing-back, defensive and attacking central midfield positions, and wide attacking midfield positions. Wesley will give an extra option to Werder Bremen all over the pitch, which is something you rarely find in players these days, who are more focused on specializing in one or two positions.

Wesley’s been one of many Brazilian stars coming out of Santos recently, with the current generation being made up of Neymar, Paulo Henrique Ganso and Wesley himself, while just ten years earlier Santos groomed Manchester City’s Robinho, Chelsea’s Alex, Galatasaray’s Elano and Juventus’ Diego for European football, so chances are Wesley is another in a long line of Santos wonderkids that will go on to make great impressions in the European game.
