Germany’s President, Christian Wulff, spoke at a press conference after Germany’s win over Uruguay and announced that Joachim Loew would receive the Federal Cross of Merit for his efforts in creating what could be the beginnings of a new golden age of German football, and also announced that the players, who were amongst the best in the competition, will each receive a Silver Laurel to commemorate their fantastic display at the World Cup.
