Here’s your chance to cast your vote for who you think has been the best striker during the 2009-10 season in the EPL (English Premier League) Awards.
Only one vote per person. The voting closes on Saturday, May 15, 2010. The winner of each EPL Awards category will be announced on EPL Talk on Monday, May 17.
This is the second annual EPL Awards, which is hosted by EPL Talk, the number one Premier League blog in the world. EPL Talk features a daily podcast (also available on iTunes) featuring interviews with some of the biggest names in English football, as well as daily Premier League news and analysis and more.
Now it’s time to vote:
Now that you’ve voted in this category, be sure to vote in the other categories to recognize the best of the 2009-2010 Premier League season:
- Best and Worst EPL Players, Teams and Managers
- Best EPL TV, Radio and Podcast Coverage
- Best EPL Blogs, Websites and Books
And see who the winners were in the 2009 EPL Awards!
Talent-wise, I think Robin van Persie is the best striker. Statistically it is proven that he has the best touch to goal ratio whether that is creating or scoring goals. If he was not injury prone he would be a consistent 25-30 goal scorer every season.
Agreed. 🙂
Wow, these results are a joke. I know Drogba is a tool but he has been the best striker by far. Right now he has as many votes as Torres and less than van Persie, both of whom have been hurt for most of the season. Drogba and Rooney are the only two in the discussion, and seeing as Drogba has created more goals and doesn’t take Chelsea’s penalties he has to be the choice.
Yep, Drog’s stats this year are technically better than Rooney, and Drogba missed a whole month for the African Cup of Nations!
Agreed Tom R, these awards are becoming less than credible with Drogba getting 6%!!! Ridiculous.
Looks like the Man United and Arsenal fans are more organized so far in their efforts to “get out the vote.”
Cheers,
The Gaffer
