New West Ham United Away Shirt For 09/10 Season: Revealed

new-west-ham-united-away-shirt

A photograph has been leaked of West Ham United’s new away football shirt for the 2009-10 season.

Pictured above, the new away shirt is black with a sky blue strip down the middle of the shirt. The new West Ham away kit is designed and manufactured by Umbro and sponsored by SBOBET.

The new shirt is almost identical to the 2008-2009 away shirt for Blackburn Rovers, also designed by Umbro. The only major difference are the colors.

Shut ip all you blind twats. It’s blue. Shows you not actualy whufc fans is you have even looked at it. Also remember the money helps the club and umbro so i’ve bought one anywhere to help the club and show I’m a hammer till I die. You who don’t like it. What do you know. Probably spurs fans. The obisidian colour acctualy suits that kit, it makes it look more beautiful!! I would prefer the away kit as either white and/or sky blue. The large sky blue stripe with the white outline makes the kit a bit worse than what i though it woud have been. i have to say the kit is ok-ish.

Well i just got the kit and its actualy navy blue and sky blue just go on whufc.co.uk anyway its not that nice white away kits suit west ham but this season the goalie away kit is white with random grey squares on it. I hope umbro read this bit . Make west ham an emergency 3rd shirt and make it white and navy blue without the big stipe.

Well West Hams colours have been navy since 1885, and has been used as the away kit for years. I have loads of navy West Ham shirts. Di Canio scoring against Bartez was wearing navy. Tevez scored against Man United on the final day when we stayed up, was wearing navy… Idiot.

c’mon its blue, when have we ever had a black jersey? its not that bad either, with the exception of the collar i kinda like it, stop being so dramatic.

    May 31, 2009 at 6:55 am

why black? west ham has always been claret and blue, with white. beats me that it aint baby blue or white with a claret stripe, but black!! seriously.
totally going off the mark of west hams colours and traditions!

    May 26, 2009 at 10:39 am

looks fake, dont really know what to believe and to be honest dont really care but i think this shirt is an absolute mountain of s**t!!!!! only navy shirt i’ve liked was the di canio vs barthez 1. thought this seasons sky blue kit was nice, like the old ones but with a bit of a twist. its definately time to bring in the white with claret and blue hoops round the chest. also who remembers the white and light blue stripes with claret collar and B A C on the front (dagenham motors the next season, when we went down 91/92), that kit was the t**s.

    May 21, 2009 at 6:45 am

horrible shirt, loved the old white shirt with claret and blue hoop across the middle. looks like some keeper or european club. also, why are there 2 new shirts every season? swear there was a rule that said only one could change a season. and at nearly £50 for one, bit steep, for a rubbish shirt like this!

it’s a fake. you can tell, umbro aren’t using that material shirt any more, well, nobody is using that material any more so it’s a fake, also look at the neck it looks heavy.

  40. danny

    May 18, 2009 at 3:58 pm

west ham are s**t anyway, so least it matching your kit. only decent player is green and thats your keeper. youve had a satisfactory season, but no exactly one to remember is it?

  44. Callum

    May 15, 2009 at 2:48 pm

good but i thought our away kit was navy blue and light blue alternative seasons and i thought our goalie kit was black.i rate it 8/10.

  45. Stuart Willard

    May 15, 2009 at 8:54 am

Bland and unimaginative. Sad when designer or client thinks that making the collar asymmetrical is the strongest available design statement they can make. If so the first statement that comes to mind is ‘cheap and nasty’. Of course we know that it may look cheap, but in reality will be anything but.

  46. dennis

    May 15, 2009 at 4:46 am

No self respecting player would wear a dicky like that. It’s disgraceful. Give it to the O’s there more suited.

  47. Blake Creel

    May 14, 2009 at 10:01 pm

And, this shirt doesn’t look West Ham.
I wish we would sign shirt deals with Nike. Their stuff is great.

  48. Blake Creel

    May 14, 2009 at 10:01 pm

I really hope that’s Rob Green’s top.. It’s truly ghastly. Wish we would go back to the white shirt with the claret and blue hoop around the chest. Simple=better. This is horrible.

  49. ian beale

    May 14, 2009 at 6:55 pm

I would like to wear the shirt whilst eating a ham sandwhich in my shed.

    May 14, 2009 at 8:22 am

Have to i say i actually fink it is a quite nice shirt, will be navy blue though rather than black, but in fairness to others who dislike it, last year when our home shirt was leaked it didnt look to great from the glimpse, but when it came out it was relli a great shirt.

  60. greg

    May 14, 2009 at 8:11 am

have to say i dont like it one bit.black or navy blue is a no no sort it out

that’s a shame. this shirt is awful. please let the home kit be nicer, please!!!
    look at that awful neckline?

  63. Ian Beale

    May 14, 2009 at 7:42 am

i thinks its nice at least the sponsor looks better than on the current shirts

  64. Chrisnic

    May 14, 2009 at 7:12 am

Terrible shirt (might be better in the flesh but doubt it). Gotta be navy blue, we dont have a history of straying from the traditional blue or white away colours like the spuds. Only positive is at least the sponsors logo now looks part of the shirt as opposed to those embarrassing over the top patches currently being worn.

  65. maddogmaitland

    May 14, 2009 at 7:03 am

    its bloody Morbid

  66. gigi

    May 14, 2009 at 6:44 am

it looks ok. might work. you cannot really judge it by having a glimpse of it like this. the only way you really can judge it is by having it close up to ya or seeing the players wear it on the field

  67. bloody Limey

    May 14, 2009 at 5:16 am

Not exactly a future classic, is it?

  68. Supershrew

    May 14, 2009 at 4:16 am

“The new shirt is almost identical to the 08/09 Blackburn away shirt, the only major difference is the colours”!!!!!!! what sort of comment is that. That’s like saying our shirts are identical to Spurs…… except for the colours, what a joke.

  69. Burnhammer

    May 14, 2009 at 3:36 am

I think it is horrendous. It does not look like any West ham shirt from the past. Why dont the fans have a say in the design and colours as we will be expected to buy the replicas.

  70. Sonny

    May 14, 2009 at 3:25 am

Looks like a Goalie top to me.

  71. Mark

    May 14, 2009 at 3:20 am

That has to be the worst WHU shirt ever

  72. LeonRivers

    May 13, 2009 at 8:31 pm

That’s not black, it’s Navy Blue. Our away kit is due to be navy blue next season, so this could be legit.

  73. Bevan22

    May 13, 2009 at 7:54 pm

It could possibly be OK once we see the entire thing – however i find it strange that they have chosen black (as described) which 2bh makes me think its a fake, its also nothing like the offical new umbro sunderland shirt template which after this session i would have thought we would follow.
