The Serie A is heading down to the last few matches. There are 9 weeks left for teams to slip down the table or rise up the table. The marquee matchup of the weekend was AS Roma vs Juventus, too bad the match was one-sided as La Vecchia Signora
dominated I Giallorossi in Rome.  The score 4-1, Vincenzo Iaquinta scored twice to give the Turin side its 5th straight win and extend its unbeaten streak to 7 matches.  The loss dropped Roma into 6th place a full 5 points from a Champions League spot.

Genoa & Fiorentina both won to make their duel for the last Champions League place more compelling.  Genoa took care of Udinese 2-0 at home, Diego Milito scored his 16th goal of the season as Genoa maintained 4th place in the standings. Fiorentina kept pace with a tough 1-0 win at home versus Siena. Once again, Adrian Mutu saved I Viola with a goal in the 72nd minute to break Fiorentina’s 2 game losing streak and keep them in 5th place just 2 points back of Genoa.
