Chances are that you may have done a doubletake when you visited EPL Talk today. Instead of seeing the customary black, red and white theme, the site has been completely redesigned. It’s a stark contrast from what we had before, so we hope you enjoy it. And if you don’t, that you give it time for the design to grow on you.

Here are a list of some of the new features and benefits:

  • A rating system for every article, and every comment;
  • A totally different color scheme and new look-and-feel that is more football specific;
  • The site is now hosted on a dedicated server, ensuring it loads much faster and is more stable;
  • A ticker has been added to the site, which can display news or comments; Right now, I’m displaying comments from you, the readers, to see how that works out (your feedback is welcomed);
  • A new and improved search feature, which is more prominently displayed above the first story on the home page;
  • Less widgets and distractions, and more focus on what we do best — the content; and
  • An improved commenting system giving you more width to write instead of the tiny box you had before.

The goal with the new redesign and the move to a dedicated server is to give you, the readers, a better experience. EPL Talk has changed quite a lot since it’s humble beginnings in 2005. Our goal is to continue delivering you the high quality news, analysis and opinions you’ve been enjoying. Sure, not all of you agree with the opinions we express in our articles, but our aim is to continue improving the standards, and we welcome your constructive criticism.

EPL Talk is not the only site that has been redesigned. In fact, the entire network of EPL Talk sister sites have undergone the same redesign, so be sure to check out Bundesliga Talk, Championship Talk, Champions League Talk, La Liga Talk, Major League Soccer Talk, Serie A Talk, Soccer On Dish and World Cup Buzz.

Please go ahead and leave your feedback regarding the new design in the comments section below. I look forward to hearing from you, and thanks for your continued loyalty to EPL Talk.
