Rolando Bianchi arrived at club Lazio from English Premiership side Manchester City last Wednesday. The 24 year old failed to hold down a regular starting berth with his previous club and no doubt is looking for more of a starting role in an attempt to eventually sport the blue jersey of the Azzurri, Italy’s national squad.

However, the player isn’t helping himself any in being red carded during his first match back and was either attempting to make an impression with the travelling ultras or needs to tone done more than the after match drinking culture he has recently been quoted as saying is a distraction to the English game.

Is it any surprise Lazio was the final destination considering of course it to be a previous employer of City manager Sven-Goran Eriksson? Not to this writer and surely the two clubs will continue a working relationship in years to come. After falling to within 3 points of relegation and being eliminated from the Champions League in December at the feet of Real Madrid, the Biancocelesti can now turn full attention to domestic play. Currently the team home record is 3-2-5 perhaps we’ll see a return to fortress Stadio Olimpico which had an outstanding final home record in the 06-07 season of 10-6-3 and finished 3rd overall behind Roma and eventual winners Internazionale.

Other additional club signings are:

In: Radu (D, Dinamo Bucharest)

Out: Stendardo (D, Juventus)

In Talks: V. Kovalevski (Spartak)
