Yesterday, I snuck this picture of the outside of Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, the new home of the Colorado Rapids. The Stadium sits on 380 undeveloped acres of land, with several practice fields and a soccer academy already set up. The Stadium is just up Quebec Street from the nation’s largest “new urbanism” development Stapleton (on the site of the old Stapleton International Airport.) and is about 6 miles from Downtown Denver. Tomorrow evening I will see the Rapids play the Chicago Fire and will of course have pictures from inside the ground on the site.
