Thanks for gathering up all of this info – very helpful? Do you have any dates for NWSL play-offs and championship game?
Not yet. But once they’re confirmed, we’ll be sure to update the TV schedule with the info.
According to https://www.prosoccerusa.com/nwsl/espnews-to-broadcast-six-nwsl-games-taking-over-select-lifetime-broadcasts/, NWSL championship game will be broadcast on Lifetime, 9/22, 4:30pm EDT.
Have you heard anything about the possibility of Women’s Premier League being broadcast in the U.S.?
We discussed it on an earlier podcast at https://soundcloud.com/worldsoccertalk/watching-womens-super-league-and-womens-champions-league-from-usa
Right now, select games are shown from time to time on club-specific Facebook pages, but that’s about it I believe.
Will the NWSL games be on TV in 2018, such as on Lifetime? and will they be available on streaming video, such as GO90.com?
One NWSL match each round on Lifetime on Saturdays, plus both semifinals (September 14-16, depending on venue availability) and Final on September 22. The rest will be streamed via Go90 app. 2nd year of 3-year contract. Vista Worldlink (Dania Beach, Florida) is handling all productions for NWSL.
NWSL is down to 9 teams after investors of Boston Breakers pulled out. FC Kansas City was acquired by the Real Salt Lake organization and has been renamed the Utah Royals. The Utah Royals will play at Real Salt Lake stadium in Sandy, Utah.
FC Barcelona, long-rumored to be interested in operating an NWSL team in San Jose, California, did not pull the trigger over the NWSL offseason. FC Barcelona officials have been interested in opening a youth academy in Silicon Valley ever since former FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta visited Stanford University for a guest lecture in 2007.
So the other day I am on Twitter and look at the replies to a commentators Tweet, one of them was bizarre rambling acting like they know the guy and making predictions, so I click on the profile and wouldn’t you know, it was you!
Women are playing a credible game of professional soccer. Yet, it still has broken through in terms of mass viewership and attendance.
Just watched England v France on ESPN3 and I won’t be watching anymore games in the She Believes Cup. Not only does the monotonic commentary send me to sleep but there is also the added crowd sound effects when replaying goal area incidents. The TV viewing experience is dreadful.
No Spanish broadcasters?
Not at this time.
Thank you for that important information
Are Any matches from the Womens AFC Asian Cup tournament being broadcast in the US? Its the qualifying finals in Asia for the Womens World Cup 2019 featuring Australia, Japan, Korea and China?
Brig, as far as we know, the games won’t be televised in the United States. Your best bet may be to check with the Facebook page for the tournament to see if they plan on live streaming the games to viewers worldwide.
Hi Chris,
Thanks for your reply. I have checked and can’t find live streaming of the matches, just some highlights…Maybe in 2022?
Hi⚽️⚽️USA womens soccer rocks!
Thanks for the info on US Women’s team….. difficult to find anywhere……. the TV schedule is especially valuable… we love their game.
Now that Go90 is down, how would I watch NWSL games besides the weekly game on ESPNNews?
I would recommend checking out NWSLsoccer.com for the games (or news about their coverage plans).
Hi Chris,
The womens W league in Australia season just kicked off Thursday 25th October and some matches are being shown on ESPN+. Most teams feature some US players, internationals as well as Australian International players. It would be great to see matches listed on World Soccer Talk 🙂 ?Thanks Brig
Women’s World Cup qualifying matches between Netherlands and Switzerland on 11/9 and 11/13? Any suggestion where to watch?
There are no plans to broadcast the games in the US. Your best bet would be to check the Facebook pages or websites for those federations to see if they plan on streaming the games directly.
What channel does this come on on Sling Blue? Do I need to add channels?
Nevermind. I didn’t realize it said FS1. Thanks for the info!!
