Hear our Guy Mowbray interview to learn more about the English football commentator, his work for BBC’s Match Of The Day program and much more.

Guy Mowbray is one of the commentators of BBC’s Match of the Day and was on hand at Wembley for the 2010 League Cup final. He joined the podcast to break down the match-up between Aston Villa and Manchester United as well as talk about the English football landscape, including his summer expectations for the Three Lions.

While working for Eurosport at the 1998 World Cup, he became the youngest ever television commentator on a World Cup Final, aged 26. Mowbray was the chosen commentator for the BBC’s coverage of England games at the 2010 World Cup following the retirement of John Motson from live commentary duties. Mowbray went on to commentate on England during Euro 2012 including England’s eventual quarter-final shoot-out defeat to Italy.

His favorite football club is York City.
