Shake Hands (EPL Talk Preview Podcast)

Lovely! It’s time for UCL reviews and weekend previews…not least the pod featuring: Liverpool vs. United at Anfield. An emotionally charged game at the best and worst times: differing fortunes for both sides might mean that rivalries are forgotten off the pitch the pay tribute to the 96, before the first game back at Anfield since Liverpool and the world read hundreds of shocking pages. At times like this, your most bitter rival might know the anguish you feel almost as well as you do. Both managers are making room for the other and encouraging fans to start new rivalries, in a transitional time for this train-line derby.

That might not even be the best game of the weakend, City step out against Arsenal and Villa take on Southampton. A big weekend. So join us. Join us. Join us. Join us, in your ears. Or join us with your fingers, be part of the Twitter community:

  1. Reid says:

You asked why I use the site to listen, well, I don’t use iTunes, that’s the short answer.

I’ve tried to use other podcast players, but with little success. So, I’m limited to the site because I’m not going to start using iTunes an time soon.

But I do like the podcast.

  2. Matt Duncan says:

    Reid,

Thanks for the comment. Glad you are enjoying the podcast and thanks again for answering Laurence’s question. It makes him feel loved.

    Cheers,

    Matt

  3. Caspar says:

I’m a huge fan, but it sounds incredibly amateurish for one of your podcast members to be asked about a game and for him to reply that he didn’t see it, or–as Morgan has said many times on previous shows–that he couldn’t really see it because he was watching on his cell phone. (All of these games are shown in the states on ESPN, FoxSoccer, or FSC+, so this is mind-boggling for an ostensible expert.) Wouldn’t it make sense to work out ahead of time who saw what games, and for Laurence to only go to those participants with questions about the games they’ve watched? If someone has a busy week or couldn’t get in front of a tv, abstain from participating. I’m happy to listen to Matt, Kristan, and Laurence.

    Cheers,

    Caspar
