NBC Universal and Telemundo submit joint bid for Mexico national team TV rights in US

NBCUniversal/Telemundo and América Móvil jointly submitted on Thursday to the Mexican Football Federation bids for the Mexico National Team media rights, one for the United States, and the other for the rest of the world, for two World Cup cycles. The bids include rights to all men’s and women’s Mexico National Team divisions. Jason Davis of Match Fit USA is leading a collective effort of those of us in the blogosphere who cover and support the USMNT to take action to help ensure maximum exposure for the US-Mexico qualifying match at Azteca on August 12th. As our readers are by now well aware, NBC/Universal through an agreement with the FMF has secured the Spanish and English language rights for this match.
