Union huddle before the opening kick The Harrisburg City Islanders, a USL-Pro side in the third division of the US pyramid, had previously shown that they could overcome a 3 goal deficit against an MLS squad. For the second time in the three seasons that Hans Backe has been in charge of the Red Bulls, he had to make a trip to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to reach the Quarterfinals of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup.
