The worst nightmare has come true for FOX Sports’ coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. The United States has failed to qualify for the tournament for the first time in 32 years. Facebook is paying FOX Sports to stream UEFA Champions League games

After streaming four English-language UEFA Champions League games on Facebook Live this month, World Soccer Talk has learned that Facebook is paying FOX Sports to stream the games. So far this month, FOX Sports has streamed four Champions League games exclusively online and has prevented them being shown live on television. FOX Sports to air more than 32 World Cup games on FOX network

FOX Sports revealed today that it will air more than half of the 2018 World Cup games on the over-the-air FOX network. During an invitation-only presentation to media in New York City Tuesday night, FOX Sports announced that more than 32 of the 64 World Cup matches will be on the FOX over-the-air network, which will make the 2018 FIFA World Cup the most accessible ever to viewers in the United States. FOX Sports’ Bundesliga TV schedule revealed for first month of new season

FOX Sports will launch its television coverage of the 2017/18 season on FS1 on Friday, August 18 with a live broadcast of Bayern Munich against Bayer Leverkusen. The new season will be FOX’s third consecutive season of its five-year TV rights deal with Germany’s top-flight league. Compared to the 2016/17 season on FOX Sports, the schedule from FOX Sports is very similar so far. The only two major exceptions are: (1) there are no Bundesliga games scheduled on the FOX network during the first month of the season. In case you missed it, FOX Sports recently unveiled a promotional video to begin advertising its coverage of the 2018 FIFA World Cup, which will be televised in the United States across the network of FOX Sports channels. FOX Sports reveals commentators and studio analysts for Gold Cup coverage

FOX Sports has announced their broadcast team for the 2017 CONCACAF Gold Cup, which kicks off on Friday July 7. The most important news is that Landon Donovan will return as a co-commentator to team up with John Strong and Stu Holden for the US Men’s National Team games. In the group stage, the US plays Panama, Martinique and Nicaragua. Pregame coverage will be hosted by Kate Abdo and Rob Stone.
