ESPN+ acquires Copa América rights in English and Portuguese for US market

Popular streaming service ESPN+ has acquired the English-language and Portuguese-language rights to the 2019 CONMEBOL Copa América for viewers in the United States, a source revealed to World Soccer Talk. With Telemundo Deportes already having acquired the Spanish-language rights in the United States, that means that soccer fans will have plenty of choices this summer when they watch the tournament that will feature a line-up of South America’s biggest soccer stars including Brazil’s Neymar, Copa América Winner Luis Suarez of Uruguay, Argentinian soccer legend Lionel Messi, and Colombia’s James Rodriguez, among many others. Sunday’s Serie A debut on ESPNEWS will feature two very familiar voices to soccer fans in the United States. ESPN+ acquires FA Cup rights for U.S. market, source confirms

ESPN has acquired the US media rights to the FA Cup for the 2018/19 to 2020/21 seasons, a source confirmed to World Soccer Talk today. As part of the rights deal, select FA Cup games will be streamed via the ESPN+ paid subscription service. ESPN+ acquires Eredivisie, A-League and Chinese Super League rights

Just in time for the new Eredivisie season, ESPN+ has acquired the streaming rights to the Dutch league in the United States. ESPN+ acquires Serie A rights in US in multi-year deal

ESPN and ESPN+ have reached an exclusive, multi-year rights agreement in the United States for Italy’s Serie A. The agreement will bring more than 340 matches per season to ESPN+, the new multi-sport, direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from The Walt Disney Company Direct-to-Consumer & International (DTCI) segment and ESPN.
