Ribery signs Bayern extension until 2019

Berlin (AFP) – Veteran winger Franck Ribery, 35, has signed a one-year extension to stay at Bayern Munich until 2019, the German giants announced on Monday. “I am very happy to be able to play for another year at this great club,” said Ribery in a statement. “Munich has long since become a home for my family and I, therefore, am proud to be able to play in the FC Bayern shirt next season.” Ribery joined Bayern in 2007, scoring 80 goals in 247 Bundesliga appearances, and won the German league title for a joint record eighth time this season. ... Ribery, Robben sign one-year Bayern extensions – reports

Berlin (Germany) (AFP) – Veteran wingers Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben will sign one-year contract extensions to stay at Bayern Munich for the 2018/19 season, according to reports on Thursday. German magazines Sport Bild and Kicker claim the pair, who were both out of contract in June, have already agreed terms with the Bundesliga champions. Last weekend, Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge hinted Robben, 34, and Ribery, 35, could expect to be offered extensions. An official announcement is expected to be made in the next two weeks. Munich (Allemagne) (AFP) – Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer “did well” in a first training session since fracturing his foot but remains in limbo in terms of a return to competition, said coach Jupp Heynckes on Friday. “The session went well,” Heynckes said, a day after Neuer put on the gloves for the first time since injuring his foot last September. “Given the circumstances, he’s doing very well.
