Eight months ago, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger made a big change to his team’s formation in an effort to finish the remainder of the 2016/17 season on a strong note. The move from a back four to a three-man central defense paid off. One of the most entertaining soccer games of the 2017/18 season was rewarded with more than 1 million viewers on US television, according to the latest Nielsen numbers. The match between Arsenal and Manchester United aired on Saturday, December 2 from 12:30-2:30pm ET on NBC and Universo. The game averaged 1.07 million viewers. For the NBC network broadcast, 1.017 million tuned in. Plus, 56,000 watched the Spanish-language broadcast of the game on Universo.
