The 2018/19 Europa League Final takes place on Wednesday, May 29, as London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea go head-to-head in Baku.

The two sides have been largely impressive throughout the competition, bagging 62 goals between them on the way to the final.

Both teams have produced impressive performances in the Europa League, with numerous players having a huge impact against some top class opposition.

Read on as we look at three players who could make their mark in the final.

Hazard set to say goodbye?

Eden Hazard looks set to play his last match for Chelsea in the final and he will be eager to end on a high note.

The playmaker has repeatedly been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid and it appears a move will finally go through shortly after the Royal Ascot 2019 meeting.

Hazard is approaching the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge and Chelsea are expected to cash in now rather than risk losing him for nothing next summer.

The 28-year-old bagged the crucial penalty against Eintracht Frankfurt in the last four and it would be no surprise to see him shine against the Gunners.

Prolific Aubameyang hungry for more

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has scored 31 goals in 50 appearances across all competitions this season and will be a huge threat to Chelsea’s backline in Baku.

The striker has already bagged eight goals in this season’s Europa League to take his overall tally to 34 in UEFA competitions.

Aubameyang was lethal in the semi-final against Valencia, scoring four goals over the two matches to put the Spanish side to the sword.

He failed to score against Chelsea in their two Premier League meetings this term, but could be worth a look in the first goalscorer market for the final.

Unlikely hero keeps delivering

Aubameyang’s arrival at the Emirates Stadium resulted in Olivier Giroud signing for Chelsea, but it’s a move that has worked out pretty well for the French star.

Giroud has been prolific in Europe this season, scoring 10 goals with three assists, making him the top striker in the competition ahead of Eintracht’s Luka Jovic.

He has faced competition from Gonzalo Higuain for a place in the starting XI in the Premier League, but has certainly impressed when handed opportunities in Europe.

The 32-year-old will be eager to put one over his former club on Wednesday and there would be no better way to do that than by scoring the winning goal.
