TNT’s broadcast of Manchester United vs Paris Saint-Germain on February 12 was the most-watched UEFA Champions League Round of 16 match in the past two seasons (2017, 2018), averaging 453,000 viewers. Only Arsenal’s 2016 match against Barcelona beat it out (523,000 viewers). An additional 369,000 viewers watched PSG beat United on UniMás, to bring the total up to 822,000 viewers, making it the fourth most-watched UEFA Champions League match of the season thus far.
Liga MX Femenil viewership saw a drop this week with Club América’s match against Pachuca averaging just 47,000 viewers to Univision Deportes Network, down from 61,000 the week prior. Through Univision Deportes Network’s first five broadcasts of the 2019 women’s season, the league is averaging 53,400 viewers.
Univision has seen back-to-back 1 million+ viewer Saturday nights for just the second time this season as Chivas de Guadalajara’s victory over Atlas was watched by 1.089 million across both Univision’s over-the-air network and the Univision Deportes Network. Liga MX matches on Univision’s flagship network are averaging 805,250 viewers so far in 2019. That number jumps up to 918,615 when only accounting for Saturday evening broadcasts.
