With all of the weekday World Cup games happening during office hours in the United States, one of the biggest questions going into the tournament is where viewers can watch replays of games on television.

Compared to previous World Cup tournaments on US television, this one will have fewer games available that will re-air on television each day. Part of the reason is because of the accessibility of games that will be available via apps as well as video-on-demand.

First, let’s dive into more details about the World Cup games that will re-air on television.

World Cup matches in English-language will be re-airing on FOX Deportes on the same day beginning at 5pm ET. A very select number will be shown in English-language on FS1 too such as the Portugal-Spain game on Friday, June 15 that’ll be shown at 8-10pm ET. Also, a select number of games will re-air on FOX Sports 2 after midnight ET.

For Spanish-language re-airings of World Cup games, Universo will carry encore presentations of each day’s games beginning at 5 p.m. ET every day from Friday, June 15 through Sunday, June 24. During the last week of the group stage, from Monday, June 25, through Thursday, June 28, encores will begin at 4:30 p.m. ET. For the round of 16 and through the Final, encore presentations will air each night beginning at 8 p.m. ET.

Second, for most of us our best bet is to either (1) record or DVR games for later viewing or (2) watch games on-demand via the FOX Sports App, FOX Sports GO, fuboTV or — if your cable provider offers it — via video-on-demand.
