One of the most entertaining soccer games of the 2017/18 season was rewarded with more than 1 million viewers on US television, according to the latest Nielsen numbers.

The match between Arsenal and Manchester United aired on Saturday, December 2 from 12:30-2:30pm ET on NBC and Universo. The game averaged 1.07 million viewers. For the NBC network broadcast, 1.017 million tuned in. Plus, 56,000 watched the Spanish-language broadcast of the game on Universo.

For viewers in the United States, the English-language broadcast featured commentators Arlo White, Lee Dixon and Graeme Le Saux.

The million plus viewers for the game represents the third most-watched Premier League game of this season.

Even though Manchester United is eight points behind Manchester City in the Premier League title race, NBC Sports TV viewing numbers are benefitting from a much improved and more entertaining United side this season.

Speaking of the Manchester clubs, United faces City on Sunday in a match that will be televised live across the United States at 11:30am ET on NBCSN.
