Leicester (United Kingdom) (AFP) – Leicester City captain Wes Morgan came through a late fitness test to start in his side’s Champions League quarter-final second leg at home to Atletico Madrid on Tuesday.

Morgan missed Leicester’s last six games due to a nerve problem in his back, but was passed fit to partner Yohan Benalouane, deputising at centre-back for the suspended Robert Huth.

Leicester were otherwise unchanged from last week’s first leg, which Atletico won 1-0 courtesy of a first-half penalty by Antoine Griezmann.

Kevin Gameiro returned to the Atletico squad after five games out with a groin problem, but was named on the bench, with Yannick Carrasco partnering Griezmann up front.

Midfielder Jose Gimenez replaced striker Fernando Torres in Atletico coach Diego Simeone’s only personnel change from the first leg.

While Atletico are seeking to reach a third semi-final in four seasons, Leicester are hoping to become the first competition debutants to reach the last four since Villarreal in 2006.
