The upcoming match between the Bundesliga’s two biggest teams, Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich, will be televised live in the United States on the over-the-air FOX broadcast network on Saturday, November 19 at Noon ET.

By broadcasting the game on over-the-air television, FOX is making sure that the game can get the biggest viewing audience possible for a match that is often the highlight of the season. Bayern Munich is currently in first place in the Bundesliga, just two points ahead of Koln. Dortmund is in fifth but will hope to close the gap with Carlo Ancelotti’s team before the mid-November match.

As is often the case, the biggest factor holding the German league back from becoming more popular is the Premier League, which has games played at the same time as the Bundesliga. Looking ahead to November 19, Tottenham Hotspur plays West Ham United at the same time in a London derby. NBC Sports hasn’t announced yet whether to feature the game live on NBC or NBCSN.

So far for the 2016/17 season, the Bundesliga is the fifth most popular soccer league on US television based on TV ratings. As of last week, the Bundesliga is averaging 69,000 viewers per game (which is less than the NWSL, which is averaging 88,500 viewers).
