It’s that time of the year to predict how you think the Premier League table for the 2016/17 season will finish.

This is our ninth year in asking you, the reader, to share your picks. The challenge is that we ask you this before the season kicks off, and before the summer transfer window ends.

It’s your opportunity to share your expertise and guess how the table will end for the 2016/17 season. Post your top 20 in the comments section below.

I’ve gone ahead and posted my top 20 here. First, some analysis. I had a very difficult time trying to determine who will win the Premier League this season. I honestly think that many top teams will find that this season will be a transition year. Teams such as Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea will take time to adapt. I also think that while Spurs may have a slow start to the season, they have enough experience in the squad to make a run for the title. And they’re better positioned this time than last season’s winners Leicester City, who have lost the spine of their side (N’Golo Kante).

Down at the bottom, it’s not surprising that Hull City will go down without a leader to manage the club. Interim manager Mike Phelan may be able to work some of his Manchester United magic though to ensure that the club don’t finish the season as badly as Derby County did in 2008.

Here’s my top 20 predicted Premier League table:

1. Spurs
2. Manchester United
3. Arsenal
4. Chelsea

5. Liverpool

It’s difficult to predict at this early stage of the season especially before the transfer window has ended and before a ball has been kicked, especially since it appears that many of the clubs have not done their summer transfer shopping yet, so take your best shot at predicting the final 20. And good luck.
