Lens (France) (AFP) – Wales goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey is in line to face England in Thursday’s Euro 2016 showdown in Lens, manager Chris Coleman said on Wednesday.

Hennessey was ruled out of Wales’s opening 2-1 win over Slovakia in Bordeaux on Saturday with a back spasm, which saw Liverpool reserve Danny Ward handed his first start.

But he was due to train with the rest of the squad on Wednesday and Coleman said he was hopeful that the Crystal Palace goalkeeper will prove his fitness.

“Wardy came in and did a great job, but the big man will train today,” Coleman told a press conference at Stade Bollaert-Delelis.

“He feels a lot better. He feels OK. But we’ll have to wait and see if he comes through the session. I think he will and hopefully there’ll be no (adverse) reaction tomorrow.”
