Arsenal will be hoping to bounce back from a shock 3-2 loss away to Manchester United last Sunday when they play Swansea City on Wednesday (2:45pm ET on NBCSN).

The Gunners are now six points behind leaders Leicester City with 11 games to go but it doesn’t get any easier for them with tough fixtures against Tottenham Hotspur, Barcelona and an FA Cup replay at Hull City coming up within the next two weeks.

Arsene Wenger is expected to make a number of changes after so many players under-performed at Old Trafford so we can expect a much changed starting XI when the team sheets are released in the build-up to the game.

Swansea lost to Tottenham last Sunday, which saw them remain in 16th place just three points above the drop zone.

The Swans have a decent record against Arsenal with four wins and a draw from the last nine games between the sides. Two of those wins came at the Emirates Stadium, so they do have a history of beating Arsenal at home.

KEY STAT: Arsenal have failed to score in four of their last six matches in all competitions at the Emirates.

Team news

Olivier Giroud is expected to return to the starting XI after a shocking performance from Theo Walcott in the last game. Mohamed Elneny could also make his full Premier League debut ahead of Aaron Ramsey while Per Mertesacker should replace Gabriel in defense.

Swansea City have a fully-fit squad to select from coming into this game but manager Francesco Guidolin is expected to stick to the same XI that started against Spurs. Bafetimbi Gomis scored the winner in both games against the Gunners last season so he should come off the bench at some point.
