The first match of this weekend’s Premier League action sees title contenders Leicester City travel to Manchester City knowing that a win at the Etihad will see them go at least five points clear at the top of the table.

The Foxes have been the most consistent side all season and they have continued to prove their naysayers wrong with each passing game.

The 2-0 win against Liverpool last Tuesday extended their unbeaten run to six games since losing away to the Reds last December and they have only lost once on the road this season in the league.

Their next two fixtures away to City and Arsenal will scrutinize their title credentials but if they can come out of those two games unscathed, the belief among the players and supporters will soar and that may just push them to take charge of the title race until the end of the campaign.

Manchester City are still competing on four fronts this season and followed up a comprehensive trashing of Aston Villa last weekend with a narrow 0-1 win away to relegation threatened Sunderland.

Sergio Aguero was on the scoresheet at the Stadium of Light, netting his 12th goal in 10 league games which saw City gain two points on fellow title contenders Arsenal as the title race continues to heat up.

City have the best home record in the league and they could go top of the table with a win on Saturday due to their superior goal difference but they must be wary of an in-form Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez, both of whom were influential in dismantling Liverpool in the previous round of fixtures.

Teenage sensation Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to return to the bench after starting last time out but Aguero will retain his place as the side’s target man.

Yaya Toure may start just behind Aguero with Raheem Sterling and David Silva alongside him while Fernando pairs up with Fernandinho at the center of midfield.

For Leicester, Claudio Ranieri has no fresh injury worries ahead of this game and he his expected to persist with the same starting XI that put Liverpool to the sword which means Vardy will be partnered by Shinji Okazaki in the attack.
