While FOX Sports 1 is showing NASCAR (vroom, vroom) and the Bundesliga is relegated to FOX Sports 2 this afternoon, the over-the-air NBC network will be showing the television debut of a highly-recommended documentary entitled Jack To A King, the story of how Swansea City rose from the brink of relegation from the Football League to the pinnacle of the Premier League.

Part 1 of the documentary, which made its theatrical debut earlier this summer at a New York Tribeca film festival, will air on the NBC network beginning at 2pm ET today.

Jack to a King is a passionate portrait of the rise of Swansea City Football Club from near oblivion to the world stage of the Premier League. The program tells the story of the people who made the club what it is today, and a city that survives against all odds – through the German Blitzkrieg of World War II, industrial decline and recession. The second part of the program will air on Saturday, August 22, at 2pm ET on NBC.
