NBC Sports will televise this summer’s Premier League Asia Trophy competition to viewers in the United States with games featuring Arsenal, Everton, Stoke and a Singapore XI team.

Even though the Premier League Asia Trophy has been running every two years since 2003, we believe that this is the first time that games from the friendly tournament are being shown on US television and Internet.

While the games won’t be televised on NBCSN or NBC, they will be shown live on Spanish-language NBC Universo as well as NBC Sports Live Extra streaming service.

The schedule for the matches is as follows (all kickoffs are listed in the Eastern timezone):

Wednesday, July 15:

Everton vs Stoke (Asia Trophy), 5:50am, NBC Sports Live Extra & NBC Universo
Arsenal vs Singapore XI (Asia Trophy), 8.20am, NBC Sports Live Extra & NBC Universo

Saturday, July 18:

Asia Trophy third place game (Asia Trophy), 5:50am, NBC Sports Live Extra & NBC Universo
Asia Trophy final (Asia Trophy), 8.20am, NBC Sports Live Extra & NBC Universo

For soccer fans in the United States, this will be a perfect opportunity to watch Arsenal, Everton and Stoke in a preseason competition. All three clubs have made signings this summer, so it’ll be a first opportunity to watch players wearing their new kits.
