Manchester United welcome rivals Arsenal to Old Trafford as they prepare to exert revenge on the Gunners for the 2-1 defeat they suffered in the FA Cup earlier in the year.

Arsenal are second on the Premier League’s form table with 13 points from their last six games after losing at home to Swansea last Monday. United on the other hand are 10th in the form table after managing just 9 points out of 18.

Louis van Gaal has spoken about pushing Arsenal for an automatic Champions League spot and it is his side who are slight favourites to win the match despite their poor form in recent weeks.

He will be especially keen to send a message to the Premier League ahead of next season’s title race.

Arsenal on the other hand are in third position, three points behind City with a game in hand but with an inferior goal difference.

If the Gunners are to achieve automatic qualification for Europe they have to do it the hard way at Old Trafford where they have not recorded a victory in the league for nine years.

Team News

Arsenal will be without Mathieu Debuchy and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain as they continue their rehabilitation from various injuries. Mikael Arteta may feature though after trainig with the squad for the last couple of weeks.

United are missing Skipper Wayne Rooney as well as Michael Carrick, Rafael and Marcus Rojo but Luke Shaw is in contention despite coming off early with a knock.
