US TV network GolTV has acquired rights to air Scottish Cup matches effective immediately.  The bilingual soccer network will start by broadcasting the upcoming semi-finals of the prestigious Scottish competition on April 18 when Hibernian faces off against Falkirk, and one day later with Inverness CT playing Scottish giants Celtic.

Celtic will look to win their record 37th Scottish Cup in May. Along with Rangers’ 33 Cup victories, no other club in the country has more than 10 Scottish Cups (Queen’s Park).

GolTV’s broadcast rights deal with the Scottish Cup will run through until the end of the 2015-16 season.

GolTV is adding the Scottish Cup to their list of other club competitions including the German Bundesliga (through until the end of the 2014/15 season), Brazil’s Brasileirao, Portugal’s Primeira Liga, and Uruguay’s Primera Division.  The soccer network also broadcasts OFC Champions League and Copa Centroamerica matches as well.

With many cable and satellite providers ditching GolTV for beIN SPORTS, viewers can access the soccer channel using fuboTV. FuboTV is a device that live streams networks like GolTV and beIN SPORTS (among other sports channels) for a monthly fee.  Once signing up with fuboTV Pro, the service costs about $6.99 per month for its services.

All matches of the this year’s Scottish Cup semi-finals, finals, and all of next season’s competition, will air in HD and be exclusively on GolTV.
